It’s that time again. Microsoft is releasing a major update to the Windows 10 operating system which began rolling out May 21st. So what are the new features? How will your job change? Oh yeah, and what’s gonna break?!
We’ve been reviewing the update, and we have to say there are a lot of really awesome new features. Then again, there’s a history of things breaking with new windows updates when they are initially applied to business technology.
However, the security of your company is not optional. So postponing updates is not recommended.
We recommend taking a look at some of the new features, and preparing for some changes in your process. Certainly it’s worth noting that when Windows updates install, there’s a need for some patience while your system caches get up to speed. You might experience slowness, or have to log back in to places you haven’t had to think about in a while. Keep your security standards up, and be patience with the update’s unintended consequences. It’s not an option to ignore the update forever.
